On June 3rd the students from Year 2 visited a farm in Montenars (UD) to participate in a workshop called “L’horto dei semplici”, a path to discover a real synergical garden, a type of cultivation that fully respects nature, exploiting the synergy between plants. On this occasion, they collected elderberry and mint, and made a syrup. The morning ended with a visit to the dairy, where the class took a deep dive in how cheese is created.
After lunch, the class carried out an activity with a dog instructor and some dogs. The aim was to speak about the rules of behavior to be adopted in case of a direct contact with dogs they don’t know. The activity finished with a walk in the woods near the farm, the perfect ending to a great day in nature!
