On June 5th the students of Year 5 and Year 6 went to Fagagna (UD) to visit the Quadris Natural Reserve, in the morning, and the Scriptorium Foroiuliense in San Daniele del Friuli (UD), in the afternoon.
At the oasis the children discovered a part of its nine hectares, including some artificial lakes. It was a unique opportunity to take a look at the typical flora and fauna of this environment, such as ibises, storks, konik horses, wild geese, moorhens, mallards and herons.
Both classes then moved to San Daniele del Friuli, specifically to the Scriptorium Foroiuliense, an ancient calligraphic art school. They were able to experience first-hand how books were created in the Middle Ages, and also participated in a medieval writing workshop!
