On June 18th the Year 8 students went to the Risorgimento museum in Udine to discover the events of our local history, from the fall of the Venetian State in 1797 to the years following the annexation of Friuli to Italy in 1866.

The itinerary was divided into five rooms, one of which was dedicated to the history of Friulian patriots during Garibaldi’s epic. They also had the opportunity to visit a small room that reconstructs the prison environment of the Castle of Udine during the insurrectional uprisings.

An interesting leap of over 200 years into the past to discover an important historical moment of Udine and Friuli!
